Many people desire deeper conversations about meaning, hope, and God, but do not know how to find the first words or how to stay in the conversation when it becomes difficult. Faith Conversations Made Easy shows you practical ways to gain courage and joy in exchanging thoughts about faith. You will receive simple tools, conversation prompts, and clear examples to help you build trust and enter into dialogue with appreciation. Together, we will practice how to listen, how to ask questions, and how to share your own convictions respectfully. This day is for everyone who prefers to be authentic rather than perfect in conversation. Introduction to contemplative pre-mystical prayer The “contemplative or pre-mystical prayer” is a learnable, active form of prayer that leads into the silence and presence of God. It is a dwelling in pure perception, a “beholding” without discursive thinking, analyzing, or planning – one perceives what is and remains in the present. Central to this is the constant repetition of the name “Jesus Christ” in the rhythm of the breath, combined with awareness of the hands and sitting posture – this anchors the attention and leads deeper into the presence of God.
