Theology of the Body Weekend
Have you ever wondered what the purpose of sexuality is? ... what you are called to as a human being? ... and what the meaning of human love is?
The weekend "Theology of the Body - Love in God's Plan of Salvation" is all about these questions and more!
But what exactly is the Theology of the Body?
The Theology of the Body by Pope John Paul II answers central questions about love, sexuality, and the purpose of our body. It emphasizes that the body – especially as man and woman – is a revelation of God and that our sexuality is part of His plan of creation. Love and sexuality are holy and can be a path to holiness when lived in self-giving and faithfulness.
And what does the weekend look like in concrete terms?
You can expect community, lectures from various speakers, time for exchange with other young people, times of prayer & more.
Who is the weekend intended for?
Young people between 16 and 35 years old
Who is giving the lectures?
The speakers: Amelie Beierle and Miriam Voss
Where can I get more information?

Auditorium: Fr. Coelestin Nebel OCist on "Latin as a Liturgical Language"In the next auditorium on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 8:00 PM, in the St. Marien parish hall, our brother Fr. Coelestin, who serves as the head of the Secretariat for the Liturgy of the Cistercian Order, will give a lecture on "Latin as a Liturgical Language". This is a presentation of his final thesis, which he submitted to the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Liturgy at Sant'Anselmo in Rome. The announcement for the lecture states: "Hardly any other external sign has become such a trademark of the liturgical reform after the Second Vatican Council as the transition from the Latin liturgical language to the vernacular. How did it happen that Latin became a liturgical language in the first place and remains so today? Is Latin a help or a hindrance to the fruitful celebration of the divine service? The lecture intends to explore these and other questions on a journey through the eventful history of the Church." Following the lecture, we always invite you to a small reception. As with all lectures in the Kloster Stiepel auditorium, there will be a livestream on the monastery's YouTube channel.
