Safe Abortion Day: How safe are abortions?
September 28th is the so-called "Safe Abortion Day." On this day, the demand for access to safe abortion options worldwide is the central focus. In this lecture, we will explore the following questions: Is it true that legal abortions are necessary to avoid deaths caused by illegal abortions? Is it true that maternal mortality decreases with the introduction of legal abortion options? Is it true that abortions are a safe, risk-free health service? Is it true that abortions are becoming safer with advancing medical development? We have a few surprising answers ready for you.
