Pentecost Festival
The Church is alive and it is young - this became and continues to be visible at Pentecost in Salzburg: up to 10,000 young people have met there in the cathedral in recent years to worship, sing, and celebrate God together. Since 2022, the Youth Festival of the Austrian Loretto Community has expanded to the entire German-speaking region: young people start or deepen their relationship with God at over 30 locations in Austria, Switzerland, and Germany - and Mainz is one of them! Stay and PraySince 2005, the open evening of prayer in the Gothic St. Quintin Church has attracted countless people and invites them to find peace before God and realign their lives. - Nightfever
The church is bathed in warm candlelight and filled with chants and words from the Bible. God is very close to us, manifesting himself in the form of bread in the monstrance. The doors are open, and despite the streaming passers-by, the atmosphere remains calm, devout, and even epic. There are opportunities for conversation and confession. More info: nightfever.org
