Kath-Kurs Info Evening

What sustains my faith today? What significance do the sacraments have in my everyday life? And how can one enter into conversations about such questions within the parish? These are the themes explored by the Kathkurs – a joint project of the dioceses of Augsburg, Passau, Eichstätt, and Regensburg. The course aims to support people in parishes in entering into conversations with one another about faith – in a way that encourages reflection and leaves room for personal experiences. Over ten evenings and one weekend, central themes of faith will be addressed: through short impulses, open discussion rounds, joint discovery, and prayer. The course material provides parishes with a solid foundation to organize such evenings themselves – using what is appropriate and fitting locally. For all those considering offering a Kathkurs in their parish or parish association, an online info evening will take place on July 7, 2026, at 7:30 PM. Representatives of the participating dioceses will present the concept, provide practical tips for implementation, and report on previous experiences. There will also be an opportunity to exchange views on all questions regarding the course.
