“The word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword!” (Heb 4:12) Learning to know and love Christ through the Word of God. Drawing strength and inspiration for the tasks and challenges of everyday life in Holy Scripture, in prayer, and in personal encounter with Christ. Focus of the retreat: “Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ,” teaches the Church Father Jerome. Conversely, Christ, who is the Word himself, can be found in the Word of God. In the silent retreat according to the methodology of St. Ignatius of Loyola, we seek a living access to God's Word, so that by listening to Holy Scripture, we may grow in personal knowledge and friendship with the Lord and also hear His call to discipleship in our own lives. The retreat helps to find answers to these questions: How can I hear God's voice through Holy Scripture? How does Holy Scripture lead me to the knowledge of Jesus? How are the Old and New Testaments connected? How do I find strength and inspiration for my life as a Christian in the Bible? Components of the retreat are: Bible meditations and time for personal prayer. Daily Holy Mass and Eucharistic Adoration. Silence and table readings during meals.
