Marriage Seminar in Reith im Alpbachtal

Tages-Eheseminar im Haus der Familie

A day for you as a couple! In the hustle and bustle of wedding planning, conversations about what really matters often get neglected. A marriage seminar gives you the space and time to truly encounter each other as a couple. You will talk about your wishes and expectations, gain valuable perspectives, and discover new sides of one another. Marriage preparation is a gift – an investment in what you want to build together and consciously place under God's protection and blessing. Compact in one day Impulses, exchange, and encounters with speakers and other couples. In the morning (8:30 AM - 12:00 PM), a married couple and speakers with extensive training and, of course, their own experience await you. In the afternoon (2:00 PM - 4:00 PM), a priest or a theologically trained person will lead a session on the topic of the "Sacrament of Marriage" and the "Celebration and Procedure of the Church Wedding." Methods The focus is not on the group, but on the couple. You are invited to ask questions, contribute, or simply listen. In between and especially during the breaks, you will find time for conversation with your partner. You will hear impulses on topics that are often neglected in everyday life but strengthen the "bond of love." You will receive concrete "tools," questions for couple discussions and exercises, as well as valuable materials for home, including the book "Damit Liebe gelingt – was eine Partnerschaft lebendig hält" (Making Love Work – What Keeps a Partnership Alive). "Marriage is not an ideal, but the standard for true love!" Pope Leo XIV. Course contents: Marriage as the standard of love – characteristics of marital love Marriage in God's plan: "I – You – Both of us" Influence of the family of origin Partnership communication and conflict resolution Sexuality as the "language of the body" Natural family planning and the transmission of life Responsible parenthood Faith in everyday life Marriage – a sacrament Celebration and procedure of the church wedding Information: Registration required No documents are required for this seminar. We recommend bringing a notepad. Seminar fee per couple: including course materials and the book "Damit Liebe gelingt – was die Partnerschaft lebendig hält": € 90. At the end of the seminar, you will receive a certificate of participation, which your priest or deacon will attach to the wedding protocol for the church wedding.
